If you live in the United Kingdom, then YES Krispy Kreme does have some vegan donuts. Starting in 2021, Krispy Kreme launched it’s first vegan-friendly donut in the UK with its traditional glazed donut. To celebrate the New Year, they launched three new flavors in 2022. These flavors include Caramel Chocolate Delight, Fudge Brownie Bliss, and Apple Custard Crumble. However, these flavors are only available for a limited time so get them while you can.

In searching for the answer to this question “Does Krispy Kreme have vegan donuts?” we came across a similar question posted on Krispy Kreme’s Australian help page. The following is an excerpt from that page. 

Q: Are Krispy Kreme Doughnuts suitable for vegans?

No. Unfortunately, our doughnuts contain animal by-products including egg and dairy.

Unfortunately, Krispy Kreme does not state that this applies to all doughnut varieties or only some. Additionally, it does not state if this only applies to Australia or if it is worldwide.

In order to answer this question definitively, we took the laborious task of going through the ingredients of all 45 varieties of doughnuts listed on Krispy Kreme’s United States website. This included 3 varieties of mini doughnuts and 4 varieties or doughnut holes.

Our research showed that every single doughnut option at Krispy Kreme in the United States and Australia contained both milk and egg derived ingredients. Therefore, Krispy Kreme does NOT have any vegan donuts outside of the United Kingdom.

Are Krispy Kreme Donuts vegetarian?

According to Krispy Kreme’s Nutritional Info page, “The only animal by-products used in (their) doughnuts are eggs (whites and yolks) and dairy products (including milk, butter, yogurt, whey, nonfat milk and nonfat whey).” Therefore, Krispy Kreme donuts are vegetarian.
